I was extremely fortunate enough to see a presentation of the recent restoration of The Red Shoes a few weekends ago by the Godfather of restoration, Mr. Robert Gitt, at a technical conference.  The restoration was promoted and funded through Martin Scorsese's Film Foundation.

It is one of the most beautiful Technicolor films, not only due to the gorgeous costumes of Hein Heckroth, the surreal magical art direction of Arthur Lawson, the impeccible Direction of Powell and Pressburger, the breath-taking cinematography of Jack Cardiff and of course, the striking scarlet-haired lead ballerina, Moira Shearer.

Alas, I am away on vacation in Grand Haven, MI and was not at home for the arrival of my "Red Zinger" Dania Zarr this weekend.

So, until I am able to return home to debox and take my own pics of her, I wanted to share the link to a great review from one of my fellow FR collectors and bloggers, Madame Shuga-Shug.

Not only does she provide a great review of this lovely new vixen, but her usual fabulous pictures and a handy suggestion on how to handle that crazy curl on the top of her head.

It is rare to find true modern Glamour these days. Golden age sophistication, style, grace and beauty with modern flair.  Since this is my personal mantra and mission, I love to celebrate it when I see it.  Here is the latest sighting:

Ms. Sienna Miller at the Los Angeles "G.I. Joe" premiere.

Sienna, a modern day fashionista, looks exquisite in her Veronica Lake locks, ruby red lips, elegant star drop earrings and vintage inspired golden gown.  Sienna has not made it to my official Glamour goddess list yet, but  I give her the official capital "G" stamp of approval for this red carpet look.

She reminds me of "Behind the Drama" Ms. Agnes:

You can see more images of Sienna in her gallery.
