Craig Ferguson Tries New Interview format with Stephen Frey

I am a huge fan of Craig Ferguson and his Late Late Show.  Not only is he incredibly funny and intelligent, but he is also (I think) one of the best interviewers on television.  So, this week, he decided to experiment with a new format.  He did not have an audience and did not do his regular opening monologue and funny skits. Instead, he simply sat down to talk with the fascinating Stephen Frey.  The results were pretty brilliant:

At first, it was kind of strange not to hear the audience reactions, but by mid-way through the interview I found myself completely captivated and forgot all about it.  I think I'm a big fan of this format.  It reminds me of Charlie Rose and his show.  I would like to see Craig do more of this in the future.
